Rabbi Rose

Rabbi David Rose was born in New Zealand where he obtained a BA in Political Science and History.  He was the National Head of Bnei Akiva in New Zealand, where he lived for 10 years.  He obtained Rabbinical Ordination from the Chief Rabbinate before moving to Sweden where he helped set up an educational project. He served as the Rabbi of Richmond, Surrey for 4 years, and was appointed to his current post in Edinburgh in May 2003, and is still bringing vitality to the Community in all that he does.  He provides hospitality for both Community members and visitors alike – no one is ever turned away.

As well as teaching at the Cheder, he also finds time to conduct Adult Education classes, either at his home or in the Beit Hamedresh at the Shul.

Each week he produces his own Parsha sheet for the weekly sedra, titled 'Forth Light'.  The current set of the 'Forth Light' include challenging questions, which can be answered by email.  Please look at them and try and see if you can answer the questions!
