LETTER FOR VISITORS TO EHC
AND FOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE TRAVELLED ABROAD
Thank you for your request to attend services at Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation and a welcome back to our members who have travelled abroad. As you will understand here are some questions, which we need to ask you to complete before we can confirm that it is safe for you to attend. Please complete a form for each person who wishes to attend.
This is to protect both yourself and our own members who may be frail or vulnerable.
If you would like to visit but have not yet begun your trip, or it will be more than 2 weeks before your visit and you want to give us advance notice, please fill in the first 2 questions and your name and contact details at the end of the form, and send it to us. Then please fill in the complete form once more no more than 5 days before you would like to attend services in EHC and send it to us. Returning members should also fill in the form no more than 5 days before you want to attend services.
Current Scottish Government advice is that people in the higher risk group are advised to avoid indoor public spaces, including places of worship. Their advice is that if someone is part of a higher risk or extremely high risk group and wishes to attend a place of worship in person at this time, they should seriously consider whether to do so in line with the public health advice applicable to them and available on NHS Inform.
Please note that it is a legal requirement for all travellers who have travelled from a green listed country (e.g Israel) to have a COVID test carried out within 2 days of arrival in the UK. We cannot admit any visitor, or member, to our shul prior to confirmation of that test being negative.
All visitors to our shul will require to wear a face mask over nose and mouth, to use hand gel, to socially distance, and follow our one way system which is in place.
All our members do this already when attending shul.
