We welcome visitors to EHC

Thank you for your interest in visiting and attending services at Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation.

Regarding Shabbat hospitality, the Rabbi can offer a Friday night dinner and Shabbat lunch for limited numbers in his home. For larger groups we can provide catered meals in the Synagogue. If the meal is hosted by the Rabbi in his home we appreciate a donation to EHC which can be made using the PayPal link on this page; for a formal catered meal there will be a fixed charge which we will inform you of.

At EHC we do still have some covid precautions in place and these can be found here. This is for the protection of our members, some of whom are elderly, as well as for yourself.  Specifically:

  • We do encourage the wearing of a face mask inside the Shul building, except when eating or drinking during kiddush or lunch.
  • Please do use the hand sanitiser which is available throughout the building.
  • Please sit in the seats to which you will be directed.
  • Please do not attend if you or anyone in your household is unwell at all, particularly if you have any signs of a cold, cough or fever, or if you have tested positive for covid in the last two weeks.
  • We do encourage visitors to please take a lateral flow test if possible before attending a service or event and we thank you for not attending if it is positive.

Please complete the form below no later than the Wednesday before the Shabbat on which you would like to attend (Tuesday if requesting hospitality) and send it to us using the "Send" button below. Questions marked with * are mandatory.

I certify that this statement is true to the best of my knowledge and that I will comply with EHC's covid precautions.
