Condition of Premises Hirers accept the premises as being in good condition and repair and as suitable for the purpose for which they intend to use them. Hirers agree to leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition at the end of a period of use. The Hirers also agree to pay the cost of making good any damage caused to the Premises through their use of them.

Liabilities and Insurance The EHC has Public Liability Cover which includes individuals or groups who hire the premises for non-commercial activities that are regarded as being for the benefit of the local community.  Commercial and business hire is not covered or where groups have cover provided by another insurance policy.

All hirers shall be responsible for ensuring that their activity is appropriately covered by adequate insurance for themselves, those associated with them and any equipment and property which they bring into the premises in connection with their use. EHC cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property as a result of the letting of the premises inside or out.

Security – Security of the premises whilst in use for the duration of the hall hire is the responsibility of the Hirer and you must ensure that only the expected members are admitted, and that the entrance door is shut as soon as possible after their arrival. Under no circumstances are you or your clients/members of your group permitted to leave the front door open, ajar, unlocked or ‘on the latch’. This is in the interest of everyone’s safety and security. You are under no obligation to answer the door and for security reasons you should not admit anyone unknown to you. Any doors opened for ventilation under Covid regulations must be monitored and locked after use.
