Bread

Hovis bread products now have KLBD Kosher Certification; Kingsmill bread and other breads made by Allied bakeries bearing the symbol of the Sephardi Kashrut Authority (SKA) is kosher; all can be obtained in most supermarkets.

Edinburgh stores

Sainsbury’s at Cameron Toll has a wide selection of Kosher chilled goods and a Kosher section of dry goods in the ‘World Foods’ section. The chilled goods include a variety of sliced deli meats and pastramis, viennas, worscht, chopped liver etc; fish balls, smoked salmon, cheeses: falafel and various ‘veggie bites’; a variety of humus, salads and dips.

Costco at Straiton has some kosher products, including smoked salmon, Chicago hot dogs, felafel and fish balls, two-bite cinnamon rolls and brownies.

Deliveries are made every two weeks to the Synagogue, usually on Thursday afternoons. Mark is very accommodating in providing meals for travellers.
